Marketing with LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a serious form of social media. It's a much more serious form of social media than say, TikTok. I say this because this platform is essential to people in the workplace and the world's professionals. The book states that 828 million users in over 200 countries use LinkedIn, with almost 200 hundred million coming from the United States. Someone would log on and create a LinkedIn account to connect with other professionals, apply for jobs, and interact with recruiters or even customers, depending on their role.

Marketing on LinkedIn is almost guaranteed to lead you to success. To begin, LinkedIn is the number one channel for business to business (B2B) for distributing their content. There are a whopping fifty-eight million company pages. I can see why this is the case. LinkedIn seems like a great place where everyone succeeds within their companies, whether jointly or independent. Another stat that could persuade one to LinkedIn is that ninety-two percent of B2B marketers leverage LinkedIn over all other platforms. Facebook is a close second and from here the numbers go way down.

Something that is widely known is that fake news is an issue and maybe the largest and most harmful to social media users. The worst thing that comes from this is that people start thinking either everything is a lie or everything is true. With LinkedIn, marketers don't need to worry about this. The book states that LinkedIn is "undisputedly the most trusted platform."

The last thing I will talk about is why users are motivated to engage with content on LinkedIn. Three out of every five users say that the platform is relevant. A little more than half say that LinkedIn is educational, informative, and also up to date. LinkedIn is a great platform to use in the professional world and I can definitely see my future self using the platform trying to find my place in the workplace. I hope many of you will or can say the same.

Ready To Get It Over With

I don't know about you, but spring break felt like a summer tease. I was feeling super optimistic about nearly everything, the vibes were good, I was excited about being halfway through the semester, and then I came back to school. For the most part, I'd say I'm happy, but at this point, I'm just ready to get it over with. Deep in the back of my mind I can just feel that the remainder of the semester isn't going to be easy whatsoever. There are still midterms, and before I know it, it will be time for final exams. As I was walking to my classes today I was trying to motivate myself by thinking that no other day will be as hard as today. Coming back from break can be difficult and getting back into a groove can feel like it's impossible. I hope I'm not alone in saying that this week is a great week to get back into shape. With that being said, I hope everyone had a good spring break and enjoyed doing what makes you happy with people that make you happy. Tweet, Tweet, Tweet.

In chapter six we are going to learn the ins and outs of Twitter. This app was first introduced in 2006 by Jack Dorsey. His ultimate idea was coming up with and forming a platform where people could update others in around 140 characters. Today, according to the book, a whopping 465 million people actively use Twitter every month and more than half a billion tweets are shared each day. Marketing with Twitter can be seen as both similar and different to marketing with the other popular platforms. Compared to Facebook, Twitter users are around three times more likely to follow a brand. I wonder why this is? According to the book, Twitter is just a better opportunity for businesses looking to expand upon their platform when it comes to marketing. Twitter is a great place for marketing. Businesses are really involved and it is very easy for the users to come across a certain brand. This is key for a business as the consumer, or the user, can see their brand or product and potentially even ...

Benefits of Blogging

Hello everyone!      After reading chapter 12 a question comes to my mind.. If you could choose one form of blogging to have a career around which would it be? Blogging, vlogging, or podcasting? I have watched many vlogs on youtube and over the past couple of years people have started posting vlogs on TikTok and these vlogs are much shorter in time but still a good experience. I like to watch vlogs by people especially when they are travelling somewhere that I one day would like to go. Of course, the only difference between a vlog and a blog is that a vlog is a video so for some it may be more enjoyable to watch rather than to read the more traditional blog, but both are great nonetheless. Podcasts have rapidly come a long way and I appreciate them. Sports and true crime podcasts are my favorite and I prefer listening to them on a long roadtrip or while I am doing homework. If you enjoy listening to podcasts, which is your favorite? To be honest, I hav...
