The Master of The Masters

The most prestigious golf tournament took place over the weekend in Augusta, Georgia. This tournament, which is the Masters, is much like the Super Bowl or the World Series in the sense that whoever wins it definitely deserved to win it and also to be apart and play in it. The best golfers in the world battle the already tough course under sunny and dry conditions, but when the weather becomes bad, good golf becomes difficult for many.

Jon Rahm played his best golf at the perfect time, which was Sunday, the final day of the tournament. You obviously need to play great from the time the tournament starts, which is Thursday, and be consistent everyday and every round if you want to have a shot at the green jacket and a nice payday on Sunday. Going into the final day, many believed Brooks Koepka would seal the deal. Others were picking Rahm due to his momentum. Kopeka started off great but declined as time went on. He had a two-shot lead over Rahm going into Sunday and like I said, many were betting on him to win. That was not the case.

In the last round, Rahm would overcome the two-shot deficit and win by four, so, it was a six-shot turnaround. He would finish 12 under par, which is superb. This is the second major tournament that Rahm has won, with his other being the 2021 U.S. Open. He became the first European to win both of these major championships. According to a simple Google search, Rahm won over $3.2 million for winning the Masters, which is the highest winning prize in the history of the Masters, which has been around since 1934.

This weekend, Rahm will be looking to repeat his success at the next PGA tournament, the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he will tee off around 1 p.m. EST.

  2. Chase Coburn: Cade this is perfect, as a non-golfer I have never sat down to watch the Masters I usually just walk past the television and see it. Who is your favorite golfer?

  3. This was the first year of actually watching the Masters this year. It was a little disappointing to have it delayed, but in the end it was a solid year for the Masters.

  4. Hi Cade! I am not familiar with golf, but watching sports is fun! It has drama such as a turn of the wheel. That is one of the reasons that I like sports! Anyway, glad to hear your nice experience.

Ready To Get It Over With

I don't know about you, but spring break felt like a summer tease. I was feeling super optimistic about nearly everything, the vibes were good, I was excited about being halfway through the semester, and then I came back to school. For the most part, I'd say I'm happy, but at this point, I'm just ready to get it over with. Deep in the back of my mind I can just feel that the remainder of the semester isn't going to be easy whatsoever. There are still midterms, and before I know it, it will be time for final exams. As I was walking to my classes today I was trying to motivate myself by thinking that no other day will be as hard as today. Coming back from break can be difficult and getting back into a groove can feel like it's impossible. I hope I'm not alone in saying that this week is a great week to get back into shape. With that being said, I hope everyone had a good spring break and enjoyed doing what makes you happy with people that make you happy. Tweet, Tweet, Tweet.

In chapter six we are going to learn the ins and outs of Twitter. This app was first introduced in 2006 by Jack Dorsey. His ultimate idea was coming up with and forming a platform where people could update others in around 140 characters. Today, according to the book, a whopping 465 million people actively use Twitter every month and more than half a billion tweets are shared each day. Marketing with Twitter can be seen as both similar and different to marketing with the other popular platforms. Compared to Facebook, Twitter users are around three times more likely to follow a brand. I wonder why this is? According to the book, Twitter is just a better opportunity for businesses looking to expand upon their platform when it comes to marketing. Twitter is a great place for marketing. Businesses are really involved and it is very easy for the users to come across a certain brand. This is key for a business as the consumer, or the user, can see their brand or product and potentially even ...

Benefits of Blogging

Hello everyone!      After reading chapter 12 a question comes to my mind.. If you could choose one form of blogging to have a career around which would it be? Blogging, vlogging, or podcasting? I have watched many vlogs on youtube and over the past couple of years people have started posting vlogs on TikTok and these vlogs are much shorter in time but still a good experience. I like to watch vlogs by people especially when they are travelling somewhere that I one day would like to go. Of course, the only difference between a vlog and a blog is that a vlog is a video so for some it may be more enjoyable to watch rather than to read the more traditional blog, but both are great nonetheless. Podcasts have rapidly come a long way and I appreciate them. Sports and true crime podcasts are my favorite and I prefer listening to them on a long roadtrip or while I am doing homework. If you enjoy listening to podcasts, which is your favorite? To be honest, I hav...
