Ready To Get It Over With

I don't know about you, but spring break felt like a summer tease. I was feeling super optimistic about nearly everything, the vibes were good, I was excited about being halfway through the semester, and then I came back to school. For the most part, I'd say I'm happy, but at this point, I'm just ready to get it over with.

Deep in the back of my mind I can just feel that the remainder of the semester isn't going to be easy whatsoever. There are still midterms, and before I know it, it will be time for final exams. As I was walking to my classes today I was trying to motivate myself by thinking that no other day will be as hard as today. Coming back from break can be difficult and getting back into a groove can feel like it's impossible. I hope I'm not alone in saying that this week is a great week to get back into shape. With that being said, I hope everyone had a good spring break and enjoyed doing what makes you happy with people that make you happy. I feel for those that had to stay here during that week and hope that they found fun in something. I looked at the weather once by accident while I was at home and it didn't seem too appealing.

Anyway, as many of you know and have probably heard by now, March Madness is in full swing. This is the big tournament at the end of the college basketball season that fields 64 teams, 16 from each of the four regions. Throughout the tournament, there is the Round of 64, Round of 32, Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and the 2 national championship teams. Did you make a bracket? Did it survive the first few games? I actually didn't make one this year for the first time in a long time. I find it to be more enjoyable when you don't have a stake in what's going on. At the same time, everyone knows a perfect bracket is dang near impossible. It's always really cool to see smaller schools beat the teams that are supposed to be playing for a national championship.

In conclusion, I hope everyone is in good spirits and ready to get to the end of this thing.

  1. I can 100% relate Cade! I am ready for the school year to be over and for summer to start! This year's MM has been wild and I also did not make a bracket this year! Go Vols!!!

  2. Cade- I feel your struggle. I really have not enjoyed being back in classes this week. My motivation to work out is non-existent. I have been doing the bare minimum and I will be in New Orleans next week so I need to get myself together! I did not make a March Madness bracket, but my brother did and he did not make it through the first games. There were some ridiculous, unexpected upsets with the lower teams!

  3. Chase Coburn: My bracket is toast. I had Duke going all the way because I am a Duke fan and you gotta take your favorite team and that was a bad idea. Duke got bounced from March Madness in the round of thirty-two against the Tennessee volunteers.

Tweet, Tweet, Tweet.

In chapter six we are going to learn the ins and outs of Twitter. This app was first introduced in 2006 by Jack Dorsey. His ultimate idea was coming up with and forming a platform where people could update others in around 140 characters. Today, according to the book, a whopping 465 million people actively use Twitter every month and more than half a billion tweets are shared each day. Marketing with Twitter can be seen as both similar and different to marketing with the other popular platforms. Compared to Facebook, Twitter users are around three times more likely to follow a brand. I wonder why this is? According to the book, Twitter is just a better opportunity for businesses looking to expand upon their platform when it comes to marketing. Twitter is a great place for marketing. Businesses are really involved and it is very easy for the users to come across a certain brand. This is key for a business as the consumer, or the user, can see their brand or product and potentially even ...

Benefits of Blogging

Hello everyone!      After reading chapter 12 a question comes to my mind.. If you could choose one form of blogging to have a career around which would it be? Blogging, vlogging, or podcasting? I have watched many vlogs on youtube and over the past couple of years people have started posting vlogs on TikTok and these vlogs are much shorter in time but still a good experience. I like to watch vlogs by people especially when they are travelling somewhere that I one day would like to go. Of course, the only difference between a vlog and a blog is that a vlog is a video so for some it may be more enjoyable to watch rather than to read the more traditional blog, but both are great nonetheless. Podcasts have rapidly come a long way and I appreciate them. Sports and true crime podcasts are my favorite and I prefer listening to them on a long roadtrip or while I am doing homework. If you enjoy listening to podcasts, which is your favorite? To be honest, I hav...
